Brace yourselves this might be a little lengthy but it deserves sharing. I hate and love buying vehicles. I suffer from buyer remorse, and greener grass syndrome when it comes to buying vehicles. I have been taken in the past. I have bought lemons and was unable to make lemonade. So here is my vehicle buying journey that ended with Murdock Chevrolet, and why I would recommend shopping with them. When I know I am going to be in need/want of another vehicle I usually begin my search/research months maybe even a year in advance. I like to know market value, private seller value and common problems with several different makes. I search classified ads such as KSL, Car gurus, Auto trader, Carvana. I read about different years of the vehicle I am most interested in all sorts of stuff. I had seen a vehicle from Murdock and reached out to them, the vehicle that they had listed ended up not being quite what I was looking for. Kyle took a genuine interest in helping find a vehicle that would work, I gave him some specs, including year, make, model, mileage and budget. In the meantime I kept searching and lined up several other vehicles to see. He was able to find me a truck that was close to what I was looking for but the miles were a little more than I felt comfortable. I told him I didn't think it would work but he insisted I at least needed to look at it. Well I searched some other trucks at different dealers but they didn't really seem to be invested in happy, return customers. They didn't know a lot about their vehicles and they were not interested at all in fixing a few little things that I found to be wrong. Basically they took the trade in ran it through a carwash and sold it for a dealer price. I prefer working with a car dealer because I feel there is some recourse if the vehicle is not what it appears to be. So if a dealer is going to sell a vehicle with the same accountability as a private seller for dealer prices I have no problem walking away. Well I finally made it to Murdock and saw the truck it was beautiful and checked nearly every box. I was almost sold. I still wanted to see one more vehicle from another dealer, admittedly Murdock was not happy to see me walk out the door. Fortunately the dealer I went to see was the same ol' buy low, wash, and sell high type of dealer. Soooooo needless to say I ran back into the welcoming arms of Murdock. They had fixed some issues with the truck and put brand new tires on it. The tires were 35 inch tires on 20 inch rims so they were pricey. with the other repairs that needed to be done I estimate it was 1500 to 2000 dollars yet the truck was still listed for fair market value. They even let me arrange my own financing probably to their chagrin because I am sure they do get some kickback for arranging financing. They were more than patient with me. I should mention also that Lars did a lot of the leg work as well. He was my initial in person contact since Kyle couldn't make it when I was available to see the truck. Lars kept in touch with me through the whole experience and Kyle ended up closing and giving me the keys. I was disappointed that Lars didn't know his Marvel Characters but hopefully he will get up to speed. To make a long story longer, I am so happy with my truck, it is an 07 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. It is gorgeous. I sure hope that it will last me for a while. Hopefully Murdock will add the picture they took if they reply to this post so you can all see it. I am by no means a high end buyer but I sure felt like one with Lars and Kyle.
We are truly pleased on our purchase. Our salesman Jeanna listened to our Concerns on what we needed in a truck, in the end we drove away in a truck we will utilize with “No Regrets.”

Alex Park was amazing and very knowledgeable about the truck and warranties. He made this purchase very easy. The sales manager, Lyndsay was also great calling and discussing to try and make a deal work for us prior to buying the truck. Lastly the other sales manager, Jason followed up halfway through to make sure we were good and had everything we needed. Overall very pleased with the staff and transaction.

I don’t buy cars that often and have always been weary of the whole car buying experience, but Our salesman Brandon and the rest of the Murdock team were great to work with and got us the right car at a very fair price.
